MCGHEE, WILLIAM PETER TENNENT November 8, 1919 to November 18, 2012 William (Bill) McGhee passed away peacefully at the Sutherland Hills Rest Home in Kelowna at the age of 93. He is survived by his loving partner of the past 15 years, Verna Lee Routledge. He leaves behind three children, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. These include Bill and Shelagh Lytle-McGhee of Salmon Arm, Patricia McGhee and Spencer Ottens of Kelowna, Mary Jane, David and Rachel Dickie of 100 Mile House, Connor Ottens, Michael, Veronica, Jasper and Lindsay McGhee of Vancouver. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Ann (nee Craig), his brother Donald McGhee of Quatsino and his sister Margaret MacDonald of Vancouver. She was a talented professional figure skater who skated in the Ice Capades, and passed her final Gold Level Skating Dances when she was 40 years old, a feat that not many had done at her age. She brought up her children as a single mom, working tirelessly as a figure skating teacher and ski instructor. M.D. built and landscaped her dream home in the neighbourhood and the town that she loved for 55 years. At the age of 55 she re-educated herself as a Medical Office Assistant and worked until she was 70. M.D.had 4 children with her first husband Charlie Campbell (Chad, Cari, King and Kelly), 7 grandchildren (Cole, Natalee, Tor, Reid, Dylan, Derek and Dean), and 2 great-grandchildren (Dakota and Logan). He was predeceased by his wife Helen and son Howie. Beloved wife, sister and mother who has a long list of adopted daughters and sons that she has taken care of over the years. KONOPAKI, LENORA ERNA Born March 18, 1931 in Outram Saskatchewan. G'ma K passed away peacefully at the Penticton Hospital with her family by her side, on November 25, 2012. Her loving husband, William, predeceased her earlier this year. Survived by her children; Grant (Susan) Konopaki, Gwen Shaw, Berva (Ken) Kuroda and Barbara (Jerry) Badgley; grandchildren Alexa and Meaghan Konopaki, Ryan, Cody and Leanne Shaw, Brayden Kuroda and Chad (Lauren) and Brennan Badgley. Lenora married William Konopaki in 1953, together with their four small children they relocated to Penticton due to her health. 'G'ma K' worked for many years in accounting.
