DuCheneau, James Edward: October 23, 1935 Hamilton, Ont - February 16, 2014 Penticton, BC It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Jim, on February 16th, 2014 at Penticton Regional Hospital. Jim was predeceased by his wife Marilyn, brother Fred, sister Beverley and brother in law Bob. Beloved by: Daughter Marina (Allan), grandchildren Vanessa and Olivia Pavan of Grand Forks BC; sister Barbara Nixon of Hamilton Ont; Brother in law Ted Fuller of Hamilton Ont; and partner Edna Washburn of Penticton BC. Jim was a proud veteran of the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada. 2nd Battalion, a Shriner and a Mason. Throughout Jim's life he was passionate about curling, golfing, swimming, diving and umpiring. His devotion to working many years within the Hotel, Restaurant and Resort business led Jim to various destinations of BC including Ponderosa Point in Kaleden, BC which occupied eight years of Jim's time in the Okanagan. Jim had called Penticton his home, for 25 years. Carpenter by trade, but Jack of all trades, Jim kept his mind active building model ships, puzzles and tinkering amongst his collection of outdoor fountains. Jim liked to apply his sharp worldly knowledge during his evening episodes of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. His easy going, caring, kind soul will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In honoring Jim's wishes there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Diabetic Association or the Shriner Hospital for Children in memory of Jim.

FULLER, ARTHUR JOHN ROBSON (Mr. 110%) died February 16, 2014 at Luther Court, Victoria, BC. He was 97. He was born June 16, 1916 in Victoria, the eldest of five children. In December 1941, he married Margaret Duncan Ramsay and together they had three daughters, Wylla, Rilla, and Andria. The family later grew as two of the girls married. Their spouses, Gordon and Dave were instantly sons, never sons-in-law. The family enjoyed 22 years in theOkanagan Valley, before returning to Victoria in 1970. Margaret died in 1997 and Arthur then married Winnifred Storm in 1998. They had ten very happy years together, until Winnie died in 2008. Arthur's work with the Federal Civil Service, enabled him to combine work with fishing. The end of a working day would find him casting a fly into a creek. Both his wives shared his passion for nature and in later years, he was happiest camping with them, in the back of beyond. Arthur was a Freemason for over 65 years, and was awarded the 33rd degree of the Scottish Rite. He was one of the founding Dads, for Penticton DeMolay. He served as Worthy Patron for Eastern Star in both Kelowna and Victoria, as well as sharing his many talents with the United Church, in several areas. After retiring from the government, Arthur chaired the volunteer group building Beckley Farm Lodge, a seniors' care home in Victoria. Service to others was key to Arthur and he would do his best whenever asked for help. He loved meeting people and hearing the story of their adventures and lives. Arthur is survived by his five children, four grandchildren, Kari Churches and JohnChurches, Linnea (Mark) Jones, Neil (Aaryn) Wyper, and four great-grandchildren, Liam and Ada Jones and Anna and Claire Wyper, and one sister, Elaine (John) Howe. A special thank-youto the staff of Luther Court Society for the loving care they provided over the past four years. A Celebration of Life will be held at Luther Court, on 22 March 2014 at 2:00PM. Please bring your memories to share with others. HADGRAFT, Robert Bruce May 14, 1925 to February 25, 2014 It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Bob Hadgraft, quietly in his sleep at his home in Kelowna, BC. Bob is survived by his wife, partner and best friend of 64 years, Jean, his daughter Susan of Vancouver (Bob), his son Rob of Greensboro, NC (Harriet) and his son Jim of Kelowna, together with 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Bob was a modest man with very little to be modest about. He kidded all by introducing himself to those whom he knew well as "The Great R.B.". And great he was. First as a 110 lb., impossibly young, naval recruit working Canadian Corvettes in WWII, then as a chemistry major at the University of Toronto (those there today enjoy the benefit of scholarships endowed by Bob and Jean), then as a chemist in Canada, and a chemical company executive in Canada and the United States. Bob rose to the highest positions in business but he was always revered and respected by the men and women with whom he worked. They dedicated "Hadgraft Blvd." to him in one small Georgia town where he managed the local plant. It was a reflection of the man he was, an astute business leader and manager, but always one who respected and supported the people who made the plant work. Bob and Jean retired to Kelowna, BC in 1992 and they have shared their energy with that community in many ways for the last 20 plus years. Bob led the efforts to revive and renew the Kelowna Military Museum where he worked tirelessly for many years. For that work, and for his steadfast support of the Canadian military, Bob was awarded the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal and the Order of the British Columbia Dragoons in 2013. Bob Hadgraft, "The Great R.B." indeed. Rest in Peace. A memorial reception will be announced in the near future. Those who wish to remember Bob may consider a donation to the Okanagan Military Museum Society, 1424 Ellis Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2A5
