WOROBIEFF, Eldon N. May 17, 1939 - Feb 1, 2013 With profound sadness, I need to tell all that my loving husband, Eldon Worobieff passed away very suddenly on Feb 1st, 2013 at the age of 73. Eldon and I have been enjoying our winters in our second home in Panama, where his untimely death occurred. He suffered from a ruptured Aortic Aneurysm and died on the operating table. Eldon will best be remembered by his many friends as a most optimistic, caring individual - one of the great ones. I have had the privilege of the love of this great man for the last 33 years. Eldon came from a poor but much loved family, and went on to do amazing things in his life. He went to UBC where he obtained a degree in education. During his time at UBC he took up rowing, and he went on to be an Olympic athlete, (rowing '64). He then went to the Universisty of Southern California, where he obtained his master degree. He taught and coached, and started the women's rowing program at the University of Pepperdine
