KERR, Isabella Taylor (Ella): Passed away peacefully with family by her side in her 94th year at Penticton Regional Hospital on Sunday March 1, 2015. Mom will remain in our hearts as a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We will forever remember her one-of-a-kind chocolate chip cookies. She is survived by her children, George Kerr (Helen) of Victoria, Marg Elson (Ron) of Comox and Jackie Wilkes (Randy) of Summerland; her grandchildren, Jennifer Calow (Dave), Heather Goertzen (Dave), Ryan Wilkes (Kristin), Melissa Campbell (Andrew); great grandchildren, Brittany and Kennedy Calow, Jack, Max and Leo Goertzen, Keiran Sunderman-Wilkes and Carter Wilkes, Ainsley and Addison Campbell. SCHMIDT, Adolf: December 14, 1925 - February 27, 2015. Adolf went to be with the Lord, who he loved and served all his adult life. He passed away at Kelowna General Hospital with his loving wife Alma by his side. Adolf is survived by Alma, his wife of 65 years; son Arnie (Beth); daughters Linda (Tom), Eileen (Hank), Lilly (Paul); eight grandchildren and many friends and family. Adolf's wish and prayer was that all of his children and grandchildren would be with Jesus and him in heaven someday. He worked in Calgary as a builder and in the concrete business and retired to Kelowna, with his wife Alma, to continue his passion for fishing. He was a quiet man with a quick wit. He was a man of honour. "We will miss you, but are comforted to know we will see you again in Heaven." Tuck, Lawrence: Jun 3, 1935 - Feb 26, 2015 Larry Tuck, 79, died at the home of his daughter on February 26, 2015, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Larry is survived by his wife Gayle; he died one day short of their 50th wedding anniversary. Larry also leaves behind his daughter Nicol, son-in-law Stephen Hall and his two beloved grandchildren, Fergus and Frances. Larry will also be missed by his sister-in-law, Michelle (Kasper) Thesen and brother-in-law, Doug (Sharon) Deyotte and their families. Larry was born in Edmonton on June 3, 1935. His parents, Grace and George, moved to BC shortly after. Larry graduated from high school in Quesnel and in 1953 Larry joined the Navy serving as an observers mate aboard the Magnificent and the Bonaventure. In 1958 Larry left the Navy and began his career at Inland Natural Gas in Williams Lake. In 1965 he and Gayle married. They moved to Kamloops, Nelson and Chetwynd before settling in Penticton in 1979, Larry retired from then BC Gas in 1995. Wherever Larry lived he was an active Legion member serving on executives in various communities. Larry was a volunteer Fireman for many years in both Chetwynd and Penticton. Larry was also active with the Lions Club. In 2005 Larry and Gayle moved to Comox to be closer to Nicol's family. Larry joined the Navy Vets and the Comox Legion, serving as meat draw chairman and membership chairman. Larry was given a Lifetime Legion membership in 2008. The family would like to thank Dr. Howard for his kind and compassionate care throughout Larry's illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Bruckal, Thomas Anthony: Feb 2, 1924 to Jan. 15, 2015 Tom was born in 1924 in Skaro, Alberta to Waro and Rosalia Bruchal. He was the second youngest and was predeceased by Peter, John, Philip, Victoria, Paul, Marie, Frania and Agnes and recently passed Frances. He is survived by his loving wife Mollie, and children Theresa, Myles (Stephani), and Lionel (Sandra) and grandchildren Jason, Steven, Clarissa, Justin(Kumiko), Brandon, Tyler (Catherine) and Chloe (Brenden) and great grandchildren Isaiah, Titus and Eli. Tom will be remembered for his gracious smile and being quick with a laugh, a proud veteran, involvement in the Lions and other community events and the many projects he undertook either as hobbies or careers. Tom's internment was at the Lakeview Cemetery in Penticton after a celebration held at Parkview Chapel in Penticton, B.C. on Jan. 20, 2015.

Larry Tuck, 79, died at the home of his daughter on February 26, 2015, after a lengthy battle with cancer. McRITCHIE, Eleanor: October 22, 1930 to February 28, 2015 Eleanor passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on Feb. 28, 2015, after a short illness, with her family members by her side. She was the beloved centre of our family and words cannot express our sadness at her passing or our gratitude for the impact she made in our lives. Eleanor was born and raised in Vancouver, was happily married to her childhood sweetheart Jack for 55 years, and after his passing, greatly enjoyed her last ten years in Penticton with family and wonderful friends. She is predeceased by husband, Jack, daughter, Laurie, parents; Walter and Norah Peain, and many loved relatives and friends. Eleanor leaves her sons; Alan and Michael (Cristina), daughter, Nancy, grandchildren; Gabrielle, Katie, Brandon, Alison, Kallista and Jamie, her sister, Barbara and brother, Walt and many other relatives who all loved her deeply. She will be remembered for her always loving and friendly nature and beautiful smile, sense of fun, and the wisdom with which she lived her life and influenced ours. SANTO, Jennifer "Jenny" Mary: August 22, 1951 - February 23, 2015. Jennifer (Jenny) Santo passed away peacefully at her home February 23, 2015. She is survived by her husband John, her children, Tom (Leeane), Angela, Shawnn, all her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Jenny was born in Cobourg, Ontario and spent most of her life in BC. She was an extremely giving person who would not hesitate to help any one in need. Jenny and John owned a very successful Dollar Store in Lake Country for over 10 years and touched many in the community. Jenny was the matriarch of the family and we all loved spending time with her. She will be deeply missed by all. A Celebration of life will be held, Saturday March 7, 2:00 pm at their house in Ellison.

SISLER, James Martin "Jim": The family of James Martin (Jim) Sisler are sad to announce his passing on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. He leaves in mourning his wife of 57 years, Alice, and his two sons, Murray (Vivian) of Richmond BC and Jeff (Cathy) and their children, Rebecca, Danny and Julia of Winnipeg. He leaves his three siblings, Barbara Smith (Maurice), Roddy Sisler (Marianne) and Sandra Schjerning (Nick), and sisters-in-law Betty and Berenice Sisler, Luella Rutledge, and their families. Dad was predeceased by his brothers Bill and George and his brother-in-law Bill Rutledge. Jim was born in 1927 in Winnipeg and attended Glenwood, Lord Selkirk, and St. John's Tech High Schools. He graduated from the U of Manitoba with a BSc in Agriculture in 1950 and from the U of Michigan with a MPH degree in 1953. Jim met Alice in 1955 when she caught his eye, of course, playing the piano. They married in 1957 and raised their two sons in a very close neighbourhood in Winnipeg and at their cottage at Tannis Lake, Ontario, where Dad built their family cottage in 1969. Jim worked as a Public Health Inspector, and was passionate about improving food safety standards. He retired in 1990, and he and Alice moved to Kelowna, where they formed lasting friendships in the Newcomers Club, Parkinson Rec Centre, St Paul's United Church and the B.C. Old Time Fiddlers. The love of music marked every aspect of his life. Dad sang and played the banjo ukulele, and with Mom on the piano, they performed at parties, family gatherings, and with "the Fiddlers". For their 50th wedding anniversary, Dad and Mom recorded a CD of their music which is treasured. Dad was grateful for his many caregivers, especially his family doctor, Dr. W. Mackle and his office staff Kathy and Julie; Interior Health Home Care (Devon and Georgia); and Dr. Josh Wiesenthal. He spent his final days in the warmth of Hospice House. Special thanks to Margaret and Darrell Porubanec for their help and devotion through Dad's illness. A memorial service will he held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, led by Rev. Wayne Laurie. Interment will occur later in Winnipeg. Panusa, Carmela: August 12, 1913 - March 3, 2015 After 101.5 years of a wonderful life Carmela passed away to join her beloved husband Paolo. Pre-deceased by her son-in-law Giacomo Anfuso in 2003. Survived by her daughters Rosa, Silvia (Roberto), and son John (Angela), grandchildren Maria (Tony), James (Railene), Cristina (Adrian), Tina (Joe), Paolo (Kristine), Gianpaolo (Jeina), and Stefano (Nicole). Carmela was very fortunate to also have 14 great-grandchildren whom she enjoyed immensely. Carmela was blessed to have her daughter Rosa be a constant in her life. Rosa devoted herself to visit her mother and bring homemade food every day at Cottonwoods, for just over two years. Special thanks to Dr. White, her family physician and the nurses and staff on B and C wards at Cottonwoods. HART, Edwina Lilian (nee Baalim): Passed peacefully away at KGH on February 26, 2015, one month and one day shy of her 100th birthday. Edwina was the only child of Charles and Jessie Baalim, born on March 25, 1915 in Barons, Alberta. After Charles untimely passing in 1924, Jessie and Edwina moved to the M.P. Williams Ranch in Lake Country where Jessie was hired as the cook and homemaker. There Jessie met and eventually married Archie Weighton who Edwina loved dearly. After graduation Edwina moved to Vancouver to attend the VGH Nursing School. While there she met and married the love of her life, Al Christie. Tragically Al died in WW II. Edwina eventually did marry again and gave birth to her treasured daughter Ferne in 1953. Again tragedy struck when Ferne died at 3 years of age. Edwina never got over losing her. Determined to go on with her life, Edwina went back to school, this time to UBC where she obtained her degree as a Public Health Nurse. She served in this career in Grand Forks and the South Okanagan and later in Kelowna. Edwina was a talented pianist and she loved to dance and socialize with her friends. Upon retirement Edwina travelled the world, with many trips to visit her family in Scotland, England and New Zealand. Edwina leaves behind many treasured friends, especially her neighbor Dave and her friend Betty and family. She is also survived by her family Geord Holland, (Jo), their children Chessa, Keda (Jack), Taylor and Tanner, and many other cousins near and far. Service will be held at 2pm, Friday, March 6 at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland. DOERING, Otto Gustav: (June 20, 1924 - February 25, 2015) Dad was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1924. After finishing his degree in Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology at the University of Göttingen, he along with his sister Christel and brother-in-law Rudi immigrated to Canada in 1956. His wife, Margaret and one year old daughter Dagmar joined him one year later, and approximately one year after that my brother Michael was born. Dad worked for the PGE Railway and then BC Forest Services in Prince George and area, later he became part owner and operator of the Prince George Taxi Co. Otto lived a long and good life; he and Margaret retired and moved to Penticton in 1990 where he spent his days in the massive garden he created and maintained. Dad passed away on February 25th at the age of 90 in Kelowna with his wife, son and daughter by his side. There will be no service at the request of the family. Dad will be greatly missed by his family, wife Margaret, daughter Dagmar (Gary), son Michael (Linda), grandchildren Lindsay, Cheryl, Colin, and great-grandchildren Noah, Memphis and Ryker as well as his friends! DUNCAN, Alma Doreen (Dolly) Duncan Dolly passed peacefully February 27, 2015 with family by her side. Dolly was born January 24, 1927 into the pioneer families of John and Ethel Thomas (nee Hawthorne). She lived all her years in Okanagan Falls surrounded by many family and friends. She was predeceased by husband Angus, daughter Pamela, sisters Pat and Evelyn, brothers George, Ray and Morrie. She is fondly remembered by daughters Beverley (Lloyd), Diane (Gary) and son Thomas (Angie), grand-daughters Sherry (Jamie), Leanne (Chad) and Shelley, brother Lloyd (Gloria) and sister in laws Denise Thomas, Audrey Thomas, and many nieces and nephews. Also missing her is Harry the cat. Dolly loved O.K. Falls and contributed to the community, actively being involved in the Women's Institute, Heritage Society, Recreation Commission, Seniors Centre, St. Barbara's Anglican Church and St. Barbara's Anglican Guild. She served on the committees responsible for the Community Centre Building and the KVR Walking trestle. In 1997 she was named Citizen of the Year. Dolly worked at the Charlie Oliver Orchard, Kaleden Fruit Packing House, O.K. Falls Post Office and the BC Livestock Sale Yard. She loved to bake cookies, set ladies hair, dance, garden, hike, sew, knit and visit. Her door was open to all and the tea pot was always on. Donations in lieu of flowers to St. Barbara's Anglican Church, Moog and Friends Hospice House or the SPCA. Special thanks to the nursing staff at Moog and Friends Hospice House especially Bobby and Bernie.
