She worked at the Three Gables Hotel prior to her retirement. She loved to cook and spend time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren as well as socializing with her friends at Clarendon Hall. Urval is survived by his wife Rita of 24 years and her family; Dan, Roch, Carmen, Paul, Marc and their spouses; her grandchildren, Adam Jocelyn, Dominique, Gabrielle, Anton, Jerrod, Alexander and James. HANSON, ALFRED CARL December 15, 1932 - December 29, 2012 Went to be with the Lord on December 29th, 2012 at 80 years of age. Alfred is survived by his wife Ilene Hanson, children; Evelyn Wardle (Dennis) their children Kelle and Elisa, son Norm Hanson (Pamela) their children Hayden, Reid and Cole. Alfred is also survived by his siblings; Merl (Corrine), Viola Marriott and Helen DeWitte. Predeceased by his father Olaf and mother Minnie. Alfred was born in Lake Isle, Alberta on Dec 15th, 1932. In 1945 his family moved to the Anachist Mountain, near Bridesville, BC. He started work by age 16, logging with his father. As Hanson Sawmills moved to Salmo in 1959, so did Alfred. He married his wife Ilene in that same year. In the 1960's Alfred and Ilene had their 2 children, Evelyn and Norman, but said good bye to his parents Olaf and Minnie, as they died in 1966 and 1967. Hanson Sawmills evolved into a trucking company, but driving truck was always in Alfred's blood. He continued to drive on

HOLLETT, EDWARD LAWRENCE was born in Edmonton, Alberta on July 22,1927, and passed away on December 26, 2012, in Penticton, BC. Ed will be fondly remembered by Mary, his loving wife of 58 years, his two sons; Tom (Valerie) and Doug, grandchildren; Heather Yurkoski (Mark), Don Yurkoski and Aubree Jantzen. Ed was a supergrandpa to Allehea Bowen, Hanna Woodkey and Savannah Jantzen. Ed was predeceased by his daughter Linda Yurkoski. Ed was a wonderful friend to many. His working career began as a Marine Biologist with the Ministry of Fisheries and morphed into a career as an Orchardist. Ed was a brilliant duplicate bridge player who attained the rank of Life Master, an accomplished Fly fisherman, and not a bad golfer. After retirement Ed and Mary travelled the world and were the centre and hub of the family and friends with their home lovingly referred to by many as "The Hollett B & B". Clarence will be lovingly remembered by his five children: Maureen (Ken) Krulitski of Peachland, Clifford (Judy) Russell of Edmonton, AB, Lorne (Linda) Russell of Grande Prairie, AB, Elaine (Wayne) Davis of Abbotsford, David (Judy) Russell of Maple Ridge, one grandson, six granddaughters. EDMONDS, RAY (Sept 20, 1920 - December 25, 2012) On Tuesday, December 25, 2012, Mr. Ray Edmonds of Okanagan Falls passed away at Sunnybank Centre in Oliver at the age of 92 years. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Okanagan Falls Legion Hall. Reception will follow in the Legion Hall. Ray was born on September 20, 1920 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and joined the DCOR Regiment in 1940 at the age of twenty. He was shipped out of Halifax with the 12th Manitoba Dragoons, landing in Scotland. He was in London when some of the heavy bombings occurred. Two years later, stationed at St. Vito, Italy, on the Adriatic Coast, Ray became a dispatch rider. He left Italy by boat, after two years, and went on to France and then Belgium and then to Holland. In1945 he was sent back to England, and then with the 395 DRAFT on the ship Normandy, sailed back to Canada. He was put on a hospital train out of Halifax and sent to Shaughnessy Hospital, in Vancouver. Ray's
