GINGRAS, MAURICE JOSEPH; it is with sadness we announce the passing of Maurice at the age of 85 years at the Penticton Regional Hospital. Maurice was born in North Battleford, Sask in 1927. He returned as a young man to his father's homestead. He pioneered this homestead, which was located on the south shore of Meadow Lake and which was established in 1913. He married Carol in 1952 and in 1961 Maurice and Carol moved to Penticton. Maurice operated the Penticton Shaver and Model Shop, located at 503 Main Street. He was open 6 days a week, 52 weeks a year. The shop was open from 1969 to 1988. Maurice never missed one day of work in all that time. Maurice is survived by his wife, Carol, his sister, Margret Lychowyd of Summerland and 15 nieces and nephews. Thank you to the Hospital for their compassionate care.
