GEHRING, Joyce Carol April 17, 1935 - September 8, 2012 Joyce Carol Gehring, resident of Westbank, BC, passed away early Saturday morning, the 8th of September at Kelowna General Hospital. Born April 17, 1935 in Sussex, NB., Carol touched many lives during her full and rich life. Carol, born Joyce Carol McAllister to mother Alice (nee Erb) and father Earl, graduated from Sussex High School, and served her country proudly as a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Carol made friends readily in various communities across Canada as she raised her family. Carol's bright and adventurous spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Whether it was making a home along the shores of the Klondike River, or establishing a homestead with Bill in rural Costa Rica, she never backed down from a challenge. Carol will long be remembered for her quick wit, humour and warm hospitality. She is survived by her husband Willie 'Bill' Gehring, sister Laura Bursey, her nieces, Joan Routledge and Sarah Cyngot,
